Chemotherapy Transportation

Calm, reliable rides for chemotherapy, radiation, infusion, and related cancer-care appointments.

01

Transportation designed around the rider

Chemotherapy Transportation should feel organized, respectful, and predictable. National Transit takes time to understand the rider’s mobility, pickup environment, destination requirements, appointment schedule, companion needs, and return-trip plan before transportation is confirmed.

Our role is transportation—not medical care—but we recognize that the quality of the ride can affect a person’s comfort, confidence, and ability to access important services.

02

Who this service may support

  • Patients attending scheduled cancer treatment
  • Ambulatory riders who prefer not to drive after treatment
  • Wheelchair users when accessible transportation is confirmed
  • Families coordinating repeated treatment schedules
  • Facilities and care coordinators arranging recurring trips
03

What the transportation may include

  • Recurring or one-time schedule review
  • Arrival planning around treatment appointments
  • Ambulatory or wheelchair-accessible options
  • Companion travel when arranged
  • Return-trip coordination
  • Communication about treatment-day schedule changes
04

Planning the trip

Treatment length and readiness to leave may vary. Provide the appointment schedule, clinic contact when authorized, rider mobility, companion information, expected return arrangement, and any changes as early as possible. Riders who need medical monitoring during transport require a different level of service.

Please share accurate pickup and destination information, the requested arrival time, mobility needs, whether a companion will travel, and whether a return ride is needed. Our team will review availability and confirm the final trip arrangement directly.

05

A respectful, non-emergency experience

Drivers focus on courteous assistance, safe vehicle operation, clear communication, and the rider’s dignity. National Transit does not provide emergency response, clinical monitoring, stretcher transportation, or hands-on medical treatment during the ride.
